Thawra

"Thawra," meaning "revolution" in Arabic, is a motion design project that sheds light on the issue of recycling in Lebanon, framed within the context of the 2019 Lebanese revolution. As mass protests filled the streets demanding political and economic reform, the country's waste management crisis deepened — symbolizing broader governmental failure and environmental neglect.

This project serves as an educational and visual response to that moment. Through motion graphics, it aims to inform, engage, and provoke thought about the urgent need for sustainable practices in a system struggling with collapse. The design combines strong visual storytelling with data-driven content to communicate complex issues in an accessible and impactful way.

Eyes Wide Shut

This project is a creative reinterpretation of the opening title sequence for Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut, developed as part of a motion design course at LISAA. I chose to explore an artistic and minimalist atmosphere, where each visual element subtly echoes the film’s world. The result is a refined and symbolic universe that maintains the mysterious tension of the original, while offering a fresh and contemporary visual take.

This reinterpretation focuses on visual storytelling through typography, pacing, and symbolic imagery. It serves as both a technical motion design exercise and a conceptual exploration of cinematic language.
